Sunday 13th August was a charity fly fishing competition in aid of
Wessex Cancer Trust, held at the fishery. The day started at the main
lodge with bacon rolls, tea and coffee. Paul Eslinger of the Wessex fly
tying guild set up a table to demonstrate the art of tying flies and
give advice through the day. A big thank you to him for supporting the
day.
The winner of the competition was Mark Roberts who won the best
brace trophy and prize. Mark won by the smallest margin of one ounce.
Well done to him! Thanks to all that took part in this fundraising
event with a special thanks to Robjents of Stockbridge and Chilbolton
Smokery for their support.
