This one should probably be titled “fly of the year” or maybe even “fly of the decade” the mighty blue flash damsel (BFD). Usually a green bodied damsel fly with a blue flash running through, the BFD is by far the most popular fly here and it does definitely take more fish than most. Some people use it as their go to fly others only dare put one on if nothing else is working, arguably one of the most essential fly’s for everyone’s small still water fly box.
